Lion Forge: Things to Look Forward to and Upcoming Releases

There are some great new releases coming from Lion Forge, as well as new issues of continued series that we are really looking forward to. One in particular that looks amazing from three-time Eisner Award-nominated writer/artist Tony Sandoval is Watersnakes. “Mila is a solitary teenager ready to put another boring summer vacation behind her until she meets Agnes, an adventurous girl who turns out to be a ghost. And not just a regular ghost, but one carrying the essence of an ancient fallen king and a mouth full of teeth that used to be his guardian warriors.” There are of course times when the cover of a comic is amazing but is also a bit misleading as to the art within the book. That is not the case with Watersnakes. Full review to come on November 7, 2018, but this one is definitely one to check out.

Also coming out on November 7th, is Volume 2 of Orphans (written by Roberto Recchioni and art by Emiliano Mammucari) which is super exciting. “The dramatic story of the deadly Orphans squad continues, focusing on the trials of their training as children paralleled with their conflict on the front line of the alien war planet. Seeds of discord from their past blossom into flowers of vengeance as horrible, conspiratorial secrets are revealed. This second volume of the popular series ends with a major twist revelation that will change the entire nature of the series.”

Later in November, we also get Summit Volume 2: Price of Power (Amy Chu, Marika Cresta, Federico Dallocchio and Will Rosado), and Accell Volume 3: Turf Battles (Joe Casey, Damien Scott, and Sigmund Torre).
