Harley Quinn is set get her very own animated series on DC’s upcoming digital streaming service according to an exclusive report from Deadline. The series will launch with 26 episodes, and is set to take a more “adult” approach on the character.
Justin Halpern, Patrick Shumaker, and Dean Lorey, who were all executive producers of NBC’s canceled Powerless series, are set to helm this series. Deadline also reported that Margot Robbie is expected to be approached to voice Harley Quinn in this series, since her performance in Suicide Squadmade the character known to a much a broader audience.
The Harley Quinn series will join a live-action Titans series as well as a new season of Young Justice on DC’s streaming service. We still don’t have any concrete details about this streaming such as cost, what will be included with a subscription, or a release date (other than “in 2018”).
