What is this all about?
The Titans are on the hunt for whoever might be the traitor in their ranks. Meanwhile unbeknownst to the team one of their own has a made a decision that will forever change the Titans and one they may not recover from.
We open by seeing Roy catch Nightwing talking to H.I.V.E and asking Dick just what in the heck are you doing Grayson. Meanwhile in another part of the tower Wally is writing a letter to Nightwing having to make a hard decision. Parts of the letter appear through out the story but we’ll table that for right now. Donna walks in on Wally and the two converse, mostly about the kiss they shared. Donna, however does not want to lose their friendship and that she just wants to stay that way and Wally agrees.
Meanwhile Gnarrk and Malcolm are in Maryland infiltrating a H.I.V.E hideout to get info on other locations for H.I.V.E. Their goal is to try and get something that will help Malcolm’s wife recover her memories. They are just about to tie a ribbon on this little mission when all of a sudden Gnarrk senses something other than the out cold H.I.V.E agents they’ve dealt with. A voice calls out to them and its a voice they both know. All of a sudden there is a flash and both Gnarrk and Malcolm are gone and all that is left are a few gold feathers.
All along in the story we see pieces of the letter Wally personally wrote to Nightwing. In it he says how much he loves the Titans and how much he loves being apart of the team but Wally has made a fateful decision.
This was a great story from beginning to end. I was caught up in not only the mystery of is Nightwing really a double agent but also the whole gold feathers thing, as well who is this unseen force that is attacking the Titans and H.I.V.E. I don’t know if Wally is truly dead or not because its comics people death means nothing in comics, but it will be interesting to see how the Titans respond to this. Also what about Lilith will she become the thing she fears I have no idea but I ‘m sure there will be plenty of twists and turns along the way as the Titans navigate through this adventure. The art is outstanding and it goes really well with the flow of the story and fits it like a glove.
